Hardcarb® hybrid castings

for achieving wear-resistance beyond high chrome or nihard

Hardcarb hybrid castings are a new generation of pre-hardfaced cast parts. High thickness hardfacing is applied using special procedures on relatively inexpensive base castings to achieve multi-fold increase in service life. Special procedures also allow contrasting properties such as toughness and hardness to be achieved which are, otherwise, not possible in homogenous cast parts. Common applications include:

  • Vertical mill grinding elements – rollers and table segments

  • Sinter crushing elements – crushing spikes, grizzly bars, crash decks

  • Crusher hammers – coal, coke, various raw materials

  • Impact panels – areas subject to high impact plus abrasion
