Hardcarb MM60
Iron base hardfacing alloy suitable for hardfacing and rebuilding components subject to metal-to-metal adhesive wear, high abrasion, high impact and compressive stresses. The weld deposit is martensitic with considerable retained austenite. Suitable for deposits on mild steel, steel castings and manganese steel.
Weld deposit characteristics:
The tough martensitic weld metal is designed to give an outstanding resistance to low stress abrasion with heavy impact and high compressive stresses.
The weld deposit is magnetic and cannot be machined. Stress-relief cracks are normal and can be minimized by use of suitable preheat.
